There is still time to work up some Christmas decorations for you and your friends, and this week’s patterns will use up some of those scraps and partial skeins left over from larger projects.
I couldn’t go past this cute crochet Gingerbread House once I had found it! Designed by Loops and Threads Design Team, this is a quick project for 10ply/worsted weight scraps, although there is nothing to stop you from using a smaller hook and fingering weight yarn. Imagine a teeny tiny house! This pattern uses US terminology, and I would advise not over-stuffing the house, or perhaps using stiffening to maintain a nice shape.
The Woodland Wreath by Frankie Brown, consists of a series of free knitting patterns, where you can customize your very own wreath. Just look at those cute little critters! The patterns are available through Ravelry, and use 8ply/DK yarn. There is also a link to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation in the UK, a charity of the designer’s choice, where you can make a donation if you chose.
