Bushfire Fundraiser: 20% of every skein sold in January 2020 will be donated to Wildlife Victoria. This yarn is dyed to order and will be shipped in the first week of February 2020.
The Healing Clay series of colours was a special collaboration with knitwear designer Merethe Naas of naasknits, for her My Inner Wanderlust cowl pattern (available on Ravelry). Five different semi-solid colours were designed especially for the unique colour of Camel Train Lace, and each colour was named after the natural colour of a healing clay from around the world.
The colours are (top L-R): Australian Pink, French Green; (bottom L-R) Romanian Grey, Brazilian Purple, Siberian Blue, Undyed (natural warm tan).
Camel Train Lace:
50% baby camel, 50% silk
Care: Gentle hand wash only in lukewarm water. Air dry flat in shade.
Camel Train Lace is the height of luxury, but don’t let this scare you! The baby camel is a beautiful warm tan colour, provides softness and drape, and is thermostatic (warm in the cold, cool in the heat) The silk provides a natural shine, drape and strength to the yarn. One skein is enough for a small to medium sized shawl/wrap or a medium sized sleeveless top; two skeins should be enough for a small cardigan or top. The moderate twist makes for good stitch definition.
While we try to photograph colours accurately, colours may differ in real life due to variations from monitor to monitor.
